More Wolvez, less Knytes

The bible tells us all to be truthful in all things, and not to deceive . However considering the other day with that leasing agent, had I just told her we were just an military aviation organization, I have a feeling we’d be signing a lease. Moved in , and did our radio thing, and had the Knytes shuffle in at night or something. But I was honest and so it goes. But this is not the first time this has occurred. Consider when me and that gal in Boise were digging up a place to do basically the same thing. Even then had I put us up as an aviation organization, rather than both a otr truckers group/biker club we would have gotten that for then if I remember $250.00 . The list goes on and on, but I’m going for a point, perhaps keeping the Knytes silent and as it is, I might as well since after the first of the year our new club President takes over and I slide in as the alpha wolf of the AyreWolvez, but keeping the biker thing to a dull roar, and pushing the aviation thing more might get us some frequent miles here.

Of course the second part of our troubles is easy. There are many I suppose that are a bit put off about our female talent recruitment projects. Both for on the radio, as well as aircraft nose and body art. Pin Up Girl Calendars and the like.

Now I’m sorry as hell to Paige and some others especially Paige since she drove down here from Boise to audition, for the Pin Up gig, but there are those that might be a bit tweaked that we do that kind of thing. Remember those gals have Mom’s, Dad’s, Husbands and other guy pals who own property here that would be suited, but many just want to see us bug off.

So why all of a sudden the big push for the out of Lair studio office? Simple, besides the creepy thing that so many gals seem to exude , on the thing, is the liability, part of it. This would fall on me, not the club. If just one gal, came into the studio, to do a OTA on air gig, and she didn’t like the content, the anchor or host, or any reason, she could make up things that happen or happened even if it didn’t. Trouble is, it’d be my tail in the cage rather than the host. if not the perp, and accessory to whatever it was. Add to that, when my air shift is over , I want to come home, relax, and just be the old Wolf here. If the station is in the Lair, although I trust all involved, it’s a privacy issue. All day or all night in and out of here, plus my neighbors have a fit now, imagine if I was running this full warp speed.

But there are vendors waiting , one to install a T-1 , November 17th the extension that was gave to LPFM new stations and even that I think would be eye balled better if we go in as an military historical educational station, rather than preaching our southern thing or as a biker club doing up a station. The FCC gave that extension due to the partial Government shutdown this month, but spending oodles of money on a place until we are ready for it is just as stupid.

This leasing agent, wants to have us cough up $750.00 a month. Okay, lets figure it like this, the club on the national order, allocates this sub charter a grand total, of $3,500.00 a month until this radio seed starts to germinate as well as grow. The hangar is $200.00 , not bad. The bar is $3,000.00 a month, that leaves core money at $300.00 a month. Out of that I have to pay our engineer, $50.00 an hour. Outside sponsors make up the money to pay wages, for on air talent, but at the end of the month, we barely squeak by on $100.00 left over if that.

Plus it helps to entertain potential ad clients in a formal office. So this is why we’re busting our butts trying to find quarters. Granted $200.00 or $150.00 for an office is cutting it close, and most of that comes from my own pocket. That is if we can find it.

To bring this in, the plan on my end is to do more Wolvez as in AyreWolvez, rather than so much Knytes as in Knytes-of-Anarchy.
