Paying more, getting less , time for an overhaul.

Seems any more that we are paying more for many of our media and entertainment things than we are getting from them.

Example, all last night, doing my radio show, the download kept cutting off. I was about to unplug the damn thing from Cable-One’s modem and plug it in SpeedConnects modem. Didn’t but that option is not completely out of the question. Yet my out go for the dang service, is $212.00 a month. Add cable TV and that’s another $60.00 . Which would not be bad, but Cable One is having a cat fight with Turner Broadcasting and are too damn stubborn to plug in three networks and a pipeline to an are station to fill those holes. The three networks, are RFDTV, FamilyNet, and RTV, which are available by the way on competing system Project Mutual out of Rupert. Then raking out $60.00 wouldn’t be such a pain. About the only two shows I watch TBS, TNT, and anything Turner is NASCAR, which NBC has now, so no loss of TNT Sports, and the other is the Big Bang Theory on the other Turner feed. As far as the other two channels of Turner, never watch em. TrueTV has that Lizard Lick Towing and South Beach Tow. The whole bunch are no more realistic than predicting the outcome of the lottery give away, so why watch em? How about a reality TV show of what it really is to tow. More over how we tow in rural America?

Then of course is us.

The fact is the broadcast gear we have now could sure use upgrading as well as replacement. But here’s the problem, MONEY. Many of those sponsors and supporters that used to be the wind under the wings of our radio network, have slacked off or decided to take a siesta until we get more refined. As such, we straddle new improvements and replacement gear with just how long can what we have still work and for how long?

How we plan on fixing it all, next entry, but dig this, An Associate, Chad brokered a deal for us, and is helping us to get our own for the most part , our own pipeline. Yes it’s the same amount I pay for Cable-One, but it’ll be a tad faster going up and about the same coming down, let’s just hope that the thing will do better in the streaming department.
