An events center in Filer> Are they fracking kidding?

NYTE MOVESWOLF WITH A STORY

Watch this go into the toilet.

Went to a cattle feed, or at least that’s what it looked like, a bunch of old cows and sows, bellying up to eat and get fatter. The event was to raise money for the study and all to eventually build an inside events center. Really? The big question is why?

The only big event that Fairgrounds ever staged was produced in part by the Knytes in 1975, the I-80 Control CB Jamboree/Dixie Truckers Association Trucker Jamboree. The place has not seen that kind of traffic since. Even back then although not as bad because a lot of people mainly girls didn’t have their head up their ass thinking someone was trying to bag em for being a street walker, or slash their throats. I know different times , different methods. But if your going to stage a trade show, you better have the vendors, promotion chain, hostess and model/talent outlets. Those trade shows want, everything from free standing stanchions to live models in their booths etc. If you don’t have that locally, the trade show producers will go where that does exist. Where its one call, you got models, not this listing a talent call on Craigs List only to have crack and meth head gals apply that couldn’t  be on air , much less promotional models if their life depended on it, or that their possessive male corpuscle guy pals object to.

Second, where is anybody going to park there? Even during fair time, parking is at a premium , and that is if you can find one. If you stage a rock fest there, that I’d love to see , just to see some of these idiots trip over themselves, but you stage a rock fest there, and with 200,000 fans or better, people would be taking shuttle bus’ from Buhl, and Twin Falls. Hell Jerome has a better shot at an events center than Twin Falls does.

Give ya’ll an example on the music thing.

Back in 1997, the Knytes with some support from a major Utah Radio station alongside our network was going to throw a thing we called LIVESTOCK. Jodi Messina , Doobie Brothers , amongst other artists. Food, bar-b-que, beer garden etc. Set between the 4th of July and the Mormon holiday the 24th of July. We came up, all looked good, but County commissioners in the end killed the even, in a rush we all moved it to Draper Utah. Saved face, but the Fairgrounds inside or outside will not allow such a thing. Its not local LDS Approved,. Area TV stations like KMVT and others will not advertise anything that does not have that LDS seal of approval on it. Why do you think other churches like the River don’t have major revival concerts and events here? Because its not an LDS approved gig.

Talking about a rock concert there, yea I’d like to see that, where are you going to get the people to walk with the artists to and from the event much less drive them from a name hotel/motel in Twin Falls, feed and all a major rock or country band or performer? The best they could do is a jazz band or somebody few want to see any way.

Why do you think we pulled the plug on the Hazzard Nationals/DukesFest West for Idaho, and set it up in Tooele Utah? One big word INFRASTRUCTURE!!! Another word, HUMAN RESOURCES, naw this is going into the shit chute fast. Why spend money on a study there Twin Falls County Fair Board? We have already done it, it wont work here. Unless a bunch of dead fossils that are on county commissions, city councils, and just many living in these parts, look outside of the box, and create support business’ for such a thing.

Now onto the club side of things.

With the new club administration setting up, don’t expect a central office in Twin Falls or immediate area any time soon. If there was one, it would be in Jerome somewhere. But I don’t see it. If there ever becomes a central office for the club it’ll no doubt be in Utah, and the Idaho Sub-Charter as Idaho is part of Utah’s patched charter, would be most likely in Boise or Pocatello. I could see the HQ of the Idaho Wolf Pack in American Falls, or Boise, but lets face it Tragic Valley, your not yet grown up enough.

Last, for KOA/AWAVIA Members, if you know the chain of command of the entire organization , you know who really is in charge here. But we’ll keep that twixed ourselves.

Much to do today. It’s lytes out for this old Wolf.

See ya’ll Monday on WyldAyre Radio.
