What both local and cable tv has forgotten and don’t care about.

If you’re a Cable-One subscriber as I am here in Tweaker Flatts, Idaho, you know that Turner Broadcasting and Cable One is having a feud over the rates for carrying CNN and CNN Española. Since Cable-One didn’t want to pay Turner for the higher rates to carry those networks, Turner pulled the plug and Shazam no TNT, no TBS, no TrueTV or Cartoon Network. All of which besides TBS are channels I don’t watch much anyway. Now Cable-One could pony up at least locally, and run the networks that are on local KBAX , KCTF, in essence carry the programming from Rural Media Group, like RFDTV, Family Net and Rural TV, not to mention RTV. TBS carries one of my favorite shows in rerun form Big Bang Theory. Outside of those I ain’t missing much. Face it TNT Sports lost the bid for NASCAR next year, that’ll now be on NBC. TrueTV runs that Lizard Lick Towing, and South Beach Tow both of which are as phony as a Union dollar on a confederates church plate. Or if you want to put that another way, about as fake as the real intent of the gals I nearly hired as XO of the Knytes here in the Twin Falls sub charter.

Both Cable TV and network however are having a real challenge, against such online program providers as Hulu. Most all the really great shows are there as well as two or three day old shows, of current runs of such as Rookie Blue, which is an ABC broadcast network show. Local stations would do well to offer and many would advertise within if them , if the locals and even Cable networks ran such shows as BJ & the Bear, Movin On that Family Net ran before Rural TV group bought it out. Such shows as Airwolf, Pensacola Wings of Gold, BaBa BlackSheep and others, and of course the primo, The Dukes-of-Hazzard, which CMT gave up to program whatever the hell it is, cause it ain’t Kountry music.

Netflix amongst others offers repeats, and Hulu does offer a paid subscription, but even Hulu’s free offerings kicks the food out of the mouth of these media sharks, that think they need to give the American people a shaft up their six for rates that they claim are dictated by the networks they carry. America sports is similar. I stopped watching many sports from baseball to basketball to football, both pro and to a degree local college sports. The Universities want more money from the networks to carry the games, MLB, NFL, NBA and others want more money to carry the games. NASCAR wants more to carry the races. This is driven by the need from the drivers and players of these sports, from team owners and teams. Sure they deserve a good wage for giving us the entertainment the give us, but good, is not scalping TV networks, that eventually lower the blade onto local channels and cable systems,satellite networks are about the same. Although they sponsor many NASCAR teams amongst other things, and are extreemly stuck up, as to enabling the working class with moderate credit to get a sat system, but over all they ain’t much better than cable. Now I’ll grant you, paying for 63 channels now 57 channels which could easily be replaced by the programming from the River Fellowship amongst others, still the local Cable-One manager wont run the TV stations owned by the River Fellowship mainly RFDTV and RTV, as well as the Sunday morning service from there. If I were the River Fellowship , I’d be a bellering like a cow who lost its new born calf. That’s a subject for another time.

A true cable access channel like Pocatello has would be a great offering as well. Yet, Cable-One is blind or blind by choice to these services.

Yet Internet TV services like Hulu and Netflix, are stepping all over local and even nationwide networks, like those of Turner Broadcasting.

I saw something of a promo, on the negotiations Cable-One were doing with Turner, yet like one commenter said, why not take some of the money Cable-One is using in promoting Cable-One’s diplomacy skills, which are not that good. I wish whole heartily that Cable-One would sell out to Comcast of Utah. But at least some in Utah got tired of the conglomerates. In the far eastern side of Utah , including Kamas, Roosevelt, and Vernal, Utah there is AllWest Cable and Telephone Company. Which , thank you to them I can still retrieve email from my old account there that I had from their Evanston Wyoming office. Another subject for another time. The question is, why hasn’t someone besides Project Mutual, that does carry the TV channels from The River by the way, but why hasn’t somebody else cranked up a challenging cable network. Even a microwave cable system that such outfits that was the fore runner of the company that is now SpeedConnect. That could be done again, using say Syringa’ Cell company’s backbone. Just like SpeedConnect does not. If I were to stick around here and had the golden hammer of the Knytes-of-Anarchy as I had prior to last night, I’d say the Knytes could do that too. But sadly for here, happy for me and a relief off of my shoulders, its not my problem any more. I am now President in full elect, of the AyreKnytes formerly the AyreWolvez, but no longer do I make decisions nor will I even suggest any. I only manage the bike shop, Dixie Toewing/AyreWolf Aviation but not the club’ dealings. Its up to President Kevin now. And I’d be damn if I’d suggest us doing such a things as a wireless cable system. As far as this Tragic Valley is concerned let it sink and drown. I’m sorry, but I have no sympathy. Between the little dick teasers here done it to them selves.

All I know is TV networks and stations need to buck up here. Or they will become prehistoric very fast.

Kinda looks like HazzardAyre/WyldAyre TV needs to kick in the afterburner here don’t it?
