A Stupid Union

I have seen the best and the worst of our nations intellectual properties. Over the last week, I have done pilot truck duties at A1 . While Charlie knows what’s going on, I went up with two yesterday, that had hardly any idea of where we were going and more importantly how to get there, once we had the basic vectors.

It used to be, before my company made an equipment or specialty haul, I sent , sometimes doing it myself on a pre run, so I knew where to send my people.

I learned where the drop point was, how to get there, the exits etc. Oh sure we have GPS, but as in so much technology these days, even that can be gone way off point. So where and what to do? get up close and personal, go there, know the receiver, then execute the run.

But its not just A1’s bunch, most of which I call my friends, they try hard, but somewhere there is a drop off or disconnect from Charlie to us who are making the run. However I have seen, idiocracity in many areas in our primitive state. First there’s my near by McDonalds. I used to think it was merely time of day, but it seems its at anytime. Few seasoned employees, way too many trainees and not very good leadership on the floor.

Even one floor manager there that’s a bit more friendly to the hotter female customers than needed. Oh I have complained about the situation, but I’m allowing nature more over legal nature to take its course. Some gal is not going to take this guy being a bit too friendly, and is going to sue. At which time I’m going to sit back and laugh and tell the Kyle's who own the franchise here, I told you so. I’ve know Bill and Donna for near 30 years and this is not in the spirit of the way I was trained out on Blue Lake’ location which for many years was the only McDonalds in the area.

This is just a small byte of the poison apple. America’s intelligence is decaying at monumental levels. Oh some will blame education, some blame low employment opportunities , some blame the low wages at these entry level jobs. I say it might be a combination, of all those things in conjunction with serious controlled substances both abused and just plain used.

Then there are the people at the bottom of the totem pole of a company, especially those at both sales as well as service call centers. If it’s a big problem, the thing gets escalated as they call it. Trust me the waiting time is long.

I’d like to see one of these companies who have these farmed out call centers who make you wait 30 minutes , give you some sort of offering, like paying your cell phone bill for the minutes used on your phone that you had to wait for them or their people to make a decision. In my opinion , crap or get off the pot.  If you have a product or service , for hecks sake honor the offer. To heck with this escalating bullstuff. The person taking the call should do the thing or say I can’t help you, but here’s the real number of the real company.

Of course this is not the bottom of this problem. As you may know I see a therapist for PTSD, this outfit I was seeing called Alliance Family Services. Several years ago, with all good intentions, our nurse GoodBody, set me up through the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. So I waited three months, finally this one guy named Todd, Woodward shows up. Through more crap than a dairy pen, he never did help cure the problem. The entire mission was to make it to where a simple letter to Social Security to tell them that indeed I am still needing albeit less of that these days, but that I needed the SSI Disability funds, but could handle the funds on my own rather that through a payee. Not that the one I have now is not great, in fact much crap could have avoided had I had someone like Charlie in 2010. But as I knew, cousin Bud’s health was declining and as it would happen became to incoherent to handle the gig, of Payee. So I had to get some gal out of Blackfoot that couldn’t tie her shoelaces without supervision. Wrong payments, going to the wrong places and in the wrong amounts. At the end of the day, I was so backed up with paying people, I had to live in my shop, for two and a half months, to save enough money to pay those bills. A year ago this month I got Charlie involved moved from Burley to Twin Falls, and most of you know the rest.

Bottom line I spent nearly $15,000.00 over this time period moving from Bliss, to Buhl, to Burley back to Twin Falls. Am I looking at legal action? Yes. But all they’ll get is a slap on the wrist.

But as far as Alliance, here me and the newest PSR that Alliance stuck me with. We were looking for some Doctors mental health, not just a LCSW<CSW<etc, but a Doctor so I can get this letter written so I can move out of Idaho to Utah. That way I can go to flight school. This Mark guy they assigned to me, is a bit off plumb. I found the right number ON MY OWN, called em up, got the assessment faxed. Now I’m going to go there to get a clean bill of health so I can get this letter. Bottom line, if I have to do this on my own, why assign me a PSR? Isn’t the idea of a PSR to help solve problems , not help create more?
