Who do you trust for the news of Magic Valley and Idaho?

Last night I broke the news of the area on a house fire created by the jealousy of an angry former male spouse just down the street from us here on Washington. I forwarded the story, to the local news outlets at least those of TV, but no takers.

I watch both newscasts, both KMVT’s and KTVB’s , KIVI (KSAW) is not really a local newscast. Why its even here I have no idea, but guess if they weren’t guess there’d be no ABC TV here in the valley.

Any mile still no calls to the Confederate Steele News desk on the story, guess we got it first, but I watch all the newscasts. Not to find fault, but to really know what’s going on.

Of the two, KTVB’s newscast is more professional, and has more news content than KMVT-‘s does.

Watching KMVT news is like watching a slightly elevated college station, while watching KTVB, is like watching just under that of a network. Much better graphics, video, and field reporting. Why KMVT can’t get it together is beyond me,, although KMVT may be handicapped like we are. Much to do too few to hire to do the duties.

I will say though, based on the fact Confederate Steele Media/HazzardAyre Radio(TV) , even with only a staff of 4 seems to find, report and deliver content that others are way to spooked to grab.

Oh KMVT has copied us a few times without giving us credit, or copyright money, but hey that KMVT.

You’ll be happy to learn that Confederate Steele has gained the CP for a frequency swap, from the old FoX-35 here and HazzardAyre TV will begin in early 2014 building a new studio, and facilities, more over delivering a local TV newscast.

In any case, when it comes to the news here at least for now, I watch KTVB, but overall, I’m always glad as I’m sure you are, that You have HazzardAyre.

They take away the simplest of things

So was looking over the weather, trying to figure out why I kept hearing the whoosh of moisture on the pavement when WeatherBug says its supposed to be dry.

Figured out its because of a house that was torched just up the street over a domestic argument by an XYL, doing it with the enemy of the XOM(ex-old-man) .

Now I can understand getting all festered up over some things, even thinking someone is slamming his meat inside the gal you once called honey, but considering the kids in the home is partly yours ain’t no way to be. Them thar is your young’ns and just because she turned out to bein a floosy, don’t mean ya’ll need to take it out on yer kids.

Especially lighting up their home, to burn it and them to ashes. Watch the local fuzz be pouring all over here today.

Okay then, its times like these, that I think, ain’t it amazing how much better ya’ll and I grew up without all this? Over in Hazzard at least the Hazzard I grew up in, was blind , mostly I think by choice, to the influences of bigger city life, and troubles. With me, I got up at 04:30, milked cows, , fed calves, fed the hogs, ate breakfast, finished my homework. Hopped on a bus driven by Mrs. Hackney, who could have put many NASCAR drivers today to shame. She’d hang some corners so fast and sharp that the wheels lifted from the ground on the right side.

Course none school days were spent in the field working, but even spare time. I was in my own world there. Back then, no computers, no Internet, or any of that , lucky if we had two maybe 3 TV channels, and old station with questionable(even then) newscasts as well as newscasters, one radio station I listened to in Boise that started here in twin Falls, called KFXD, which was a bit more spirited than the religious fearing stations of Tweaker Flatts.

 

Of course then, my days were spent, under the hood, building engines, transmissions, and using many roads in around the county for test tracks. Not usually being favored by the local law, but many didn’t bother you until you either hit somebody or damaged something serious. Then old Judge Shaw then Judge Becker would hammer your ass, maybe even throw your ass in jail for 3 months, I did, after I showed off once too much with our General Lee.

But back then those other relaxing days were just that. Going on nature walks, even to the mail box. Stopping and visiting with squirrels, bob cats, a few birds, especially quail. Don’t even come to hunt quail on our land, Mom liked em, and she’d have a fit where you’d get your butt tanned if you shot one. She’d always say, that after you defeathered em there weren’t no real meant to em, so why bother ? The once I nailed a duck, with a broom no less, yes they flew that close to our land, off the river there, but I nailed one. Had to defeather it myself. Still it wasn’t that good. Mom always thought that going to all that trouble. She’d call them city folk coming on the range just below the house a hunting, the great white hunters. They’d come over with their damn dogs, chasing our cows. Mom peppered one of those dogs and its owner once for meandering too close, to our barn yard. Bet that bastard never got that close to anyone’s place. But that was a whole other era, a time I relive, if only at night when I sleep. Remembering the cool breezes off the lawn at night, the full moon, hell ya’ll could open the window, curtains and all from my room, weren’t nobody to come a lookin, and even if they did wouldn’t see much. But the quiet sounds of the creek water running over those rocks and all down just under the hill, the cooing during the day of the morning doves, seeing deer, and even eagles.

So I was looking over my Facebook account, for new items to report, and went to find the events calendar. Know what? It ain’t there. Now there’s only two reasons for this, either Facebook, by choice or mandate somewhere has limited my Facebook account, or they discontinued it.

Thank goodness , my Gmail stays constant and consistent.

But when you see three kids and a gal in her 30’s , having to find housing, just because she couldn’t refrain from adulterous activity. and her XOM, torching their house, I think, have we progressed or digressed? Makes one yearn for those quiet days in Hazzard, don’t it?

That IT Helpless feeling

Nothing makes you feel completely alone, frustrated or ready to kill than doing something on your computer and the thing goes to the manure pyle. So you do a hard shutdown then reboot 8 times, then a sys restore, and eventually if your lucky and blessed the little critter that gummed your puter up is put to rest for awhile. So you think your off Scott free. While in the back of your mind you realize that in fact the little critter is just sitting there creeping back up, and ready to throw you into a state of ultimate rage.

So you unplug the modem, call the tech support at Cable-One, if your with SpeedConnect its during the day, (when I’m usually asleep) but its not them after all ITS YOUR COMPUTER that’s fuggled up. This is why beyond the sweet perfumed honeys and all two spots are now open on the media werx staff here at Confederate Steele Media. An IT guy and an on broadcast and an on call, broadcast engineer. Who can fix these things when they occur and prevent them from happening in the first place.

Forget calling Geek Squad, MicroChips or some run of the mill GP IT tech. They will not know the bits and pieces that make up a system that does broadcasting, especially streaming like ours does. I used to think buying a Dell, was the way to computer bliss, but seems that is not the case. I remember the noise I heard from a radio tech years ago, that Dell’s were the easiest to mess up. So what do you do? Like I did, download as much free software to combat getting these mid eastern produced and China delivered worms, Trojans(I thought a Trojan was a rubber) and all, but the same techs that I’m battling are the ones that find ways around civilian based anti-virus programs. I’d much rather have someone on call and on staff, who can jump in and get our system going again when it shyts, than rely on the few comp tech repair services here.

Okay onto some quick club business.

At the Wednesday officers luncheon, the ayre crew , along with the Knytes, have decided to scrub the shop. It’s heartbreaking to say the least, but economics require it. Give it time, let the radio station build some cash in the stash then we’ll reapproach the idea of a MC shop. The hangar we leased can in real emergencies be used to do tow truck fixes, on short term basis’ , let that also start building into a money making altitude, and again these other things will iron themselves out.

Over the next few months intense radio op’s will be the focus, followed by the AyreShack, then by the end of next year, this time. I can evaluate if I need to be here another year , or if we have someone who can step in as a resident operations manager, so I can depart, with the very thing I moved here to do in 2006.

With any luck this will get posted, and if I’m not online for a few days or weeks, know its because its due to having the computer being repaired.

Don’t shoot the band I only sing the song

Well tonight’s episode of SOA was heavy duty. Its getting down to some of the final wires of this season, and series ending next year. The story lines are packed.

As with anything that our real club follows I’ll be sad to see the series go, but its now ran out of most of the original cast, some are returning. The Mexican brothel owner’s sister is an example. That queer has appeared in both SOA, the Shield and on Justified. While I’d like to see the show last at least 4 or 5 more seasons and really get into the two wheeled lifestyle and all, Kurt is not about to write that, and he seldom takes creative input, so it is what it is.

I went to the meeting with Alliance, this is more personal, so that’s why I bring it up here, more on the structure of some things in a few, but met with Shelby and my PSR at Alliance. Seems as though our little dear Nurse GoodBody is not going to be able to be my PSR, something about her not having a Degree. Thing is neither does this Mark guy that’s currently my PSR. Bottom line, think that Alliance is not looking to put me and Ellie May together for 4 hours a week two days of the week, so I’m looking to get out of Alliance and getting a real PHD, head shrink, that takes Medicaid, that’ll sign off on my authorization letter to allow me to handle my own money and all. Once that happens, rides in shape I’m outta here.

Missed the meetings on the office and bar the other day. After going through a bunch of crap with my Computer night before, I was just too pooped to pop, so slept in. Will reschedule and go from there.

Getting ready to transplant the MC shop, but need to secure the AyreShack first. So, that comes in on December 1st.

On our publications, while many of you love my very opinionated scribblings in HazzardAyre and WyldAyre. The reason I put this blog site report on, was so I could take you through things through my opinion and the way I see it. Pres. Kevin said that if its Knytes news or news(real news) of Hazzard, it goes in HazzardAyre. If its news of the Wolvez , it goes in WyldAyre, everything else will be here.

Like I said before in many entries, Kevin is the main guy now, what he says goes. He’s not going to mess with all this crap. He told me if that gal from Jerome gets anything it wont happen until mid month next month, both because with the two week shutdown of the Government we didn’t get our operation money from DOD, until late and there are more important bills and obligations that needed to be paid. So she’ll just have to wait. There isn’t much the club or I can do about it.

These next two months are going to be very tight money wise for the club. There is still some debate on the shop on Shoshone. We want it, but the $850.00 a month price tag is steep, and with some of the reputation problems that’s occurred here lately, it’s a thing the club needs to look at more carefully. Kevin is not big on keeping it, but he also knows it’s a center of club activities. So we see. There’s nothing that says we can’t meet in the new office or out at the AyreShack.

As far as the bar which seems as the core of a bunch of contention right now is still a good thing to get into. That’s why we are retaining as much cash as we can right now to pay for not only the lease and all, but the entire remodel, licenses and so on. That looks to swing open in the spring, just in time for riding season. The source of the bars funding is still the radio station/network, with that ongoing drag line, or what seems like the steepest grade I’ve ever climbed, means that still the radio thing is possible. The reason I have to pony up with half of that is that is the one thing under my command that has stubbed its foot the most. Me even though perceptions were wrong, but due to that perception getting help inside the house to even train, much less set loose on air has been like trying to put sox on a rooster. Even though in Gooding, although there I should have put my foot down and just said to all that applied, hey you want to work here, then work here. That of course most wanted all to be in Twin, here, which I have yet to see why. There ain’t no big Magic in Tweaker Flatts. Even before that there were the troubles in Wyoming on the original studio, and having too many things integrated into SAMCRO MC and my own family’ foundation that millions of dollars were lost due to my lack of acumen. But I’ve learned more and thus, now that we have narrowed down four locations for the station/studio/office means the club spends $250.00 on the AyreShack(as it will be called) I spend $200.00 on the office/studio/station. In time the club will take on the entire load. The fact that now that I have a car payment all be it for only 6 months, but still it means giving up some luxuries. But there are things like our own T-1 line that will go in just after the 1st of the month in the new studio, as for me I’ll still be limping along with SpeedConnect. Come April, after the car is paid, I’ll be headed to Utah anyway so it’s a moot point, but still I can’t see keeping Cable-One with most of the channels gone, higher costs, and where is that reduction in my bill this month? I didn’t see it. See Cable-One was to credit everyone and reduce their bill for not having the guts to stand up to Turner broadcasting, that owns CNN, HeadLine News, TBS,TNT, TrueTV etc. So why pay the extra money? For the low price of a fixed $53.00 a month I get phone, and Internet, at least at the Lair. The T-1 will be at the office.

Last here, so many of you as members and our associate members have been mad at me about policy changes and all, but remember I was very easy going. I was willing to bend a few rules, etc, but between the elections this past month, as well as the ruckus with those gals for tending bar and all, making an officer change necessary, the club, put me in charge of the AyreWolvez, with little policy and authority when it comes to the Knytes. I told all too many, don’t rock the boat, don’t say more than you know. Likewise don’t be a rat, lets not pester the former President and VEE-PEE. But no, then somebody has been dropping bird shit through Ricky, and the club is just turning the screws down tighter. Whether or not those gals we looked at in the start of recruiting on the bar, want in or not, the way to make sure their not involved is to keep barking. Come April, things will be running and these gals can work with us if they want to or not, but then they can meet members as most will be at the Reaper anyway.

In any case will keep on, keeping on, but I may not be writing as much over the next week. But I’ll still be online.

On the WTF phile.

Guess were not the only ones having computer tech problems. Seems as though Obama’s Obamacare roll out is being shackled by some web tech problems. Reports say that the HHS is calling favors and help from all who can help. I got an idea maybe they need to call in Mark Zuckerburg’s crew over at Facebook, or at least a few tech gurus at Google to do some fixing.

I downloaded some antivirus and ad blocker programs got em installed, all looks good.

Speaking on computers. Back in the day, when I discovered something better that a 640 computer, and the beginning of MS-DOS, I got Win ME, which many say was the worst OS that Microsoft rolled out ever. But one feature that was loaded on that Presario, was Office 2003. In that program was a little feller that I championed , called Clippy, the Windows Office assistant. Many did not like him, but I did. If you got bored, you could make him do tricks, talk all kinds of things. From reports I have researched, Clippywas invented by Microsoft Bob, of course in the system search there was a few other cartoon type characters , the Wizard and my favorite, the little dog. If you clicked on him , he’d scratch his ear. It was comical.

I swore and still do, that I would not buy any Windows Office product until they put Clippy back in. On that on the radio, on both HazzardAyre and WyldAyre, we’re beginning a campaign , to get signatures on petitions to get the attention of the Redmond Washington company to put Clippy back in. We’re also working with a few animators , and a film crew to make a movie short, called the return of Clippy.

We’ll gotta catch a few Z’s before I get up and go to battle, with the folks that my PSR is employed with. Details in the afternoon.

It was a Test of the market, with some bad side effects

Before I get started on my rant here, I want to say that myself and the Knytes were in error for getting such good people like Ashley, Mandy Joni, Bernadette and others involved in our bar staffing project as well as housekeeping staff searches. It was a mistake, a full getting the milking machine before the cow, or even the barn, but it was a thing that we needed to do to see if we could find enough people, mainly super foxes with a road queens sense of humor and attitude, to tend at our bar. So again we’re very sorry, mostly me.

Okay with that said, few could argue with the premise though since for what now since 2010 trying to find even 1 , but hopefully 3 street smart, media savvy biker babe mentality gals to co anchor the radio gig I do, that is within weeks of firing. We have found an out of the Lair home for the station, but with the difficulty in locating even that staff, before we opened even went to the expense of the Reaper Club, that there were enough of the kinds of gals we were looking for to not only tend bar but help with managing it as well as some mundane tasks for the club.

I know two of you spent money coming over here from Hazzard to be here, for the few meetings, I fully understand your reluctance in going further although all of you have jobs at the club when we do open in April of 2014. I know of two of your husbands could be helpful in the reconstruction of the site, but its up to you.

If one looks past the radio gig, how long has it been that in this immediate area, that we have been trying to find at least 6 gals to be pin up gals for our warbird/rat truck/bike calendar? Granted $200.00 an hour ain’t much, since it’d most likely take only 6 hours on a weekend to photograph and shoot the video, but hey $1,200.00 for a weekend is not a bad piece of xtra cash. But nobody took it seriously. I know you think I must have a hole in my brain, or something, since I drive an old rat truck S-10, LiL Wolf might be raunchy looking outside but under the hood she’s as stout as anything out there. For me it’s a comfort to know, at least its paid for, just as LexiBelle is. You think I’m not able to do these things, and true if it was just me, I couldn’t aside from the hangar and the radio show/station, my military and SSA money only goes so far. But remember it’s the Knytes paying the bills on these big projects, not me. I’m just the ground force putting the pieces together to make it go.

So again want to say to all of you who got caught up in all of this, I apologize, I’m very sorry, and once we are open, if ya’ll want to get back involved your welcome to do so.

The entire gig was not to hurt anyone, it was a labor market test, that went way out of whack.

If any of ya’ll want to call me, you know my number.

I will trust that Mandy will circulate this blog entry to those that need to read it. And that I and the club can at least have your forgiveness.

Next entry, the campaign to bring back Clippy> until the morning, keep it wings level, and stay up on those two wheels.

Another great Sunday

Sunday’s I thought were for resting, catching up on sleep, praying and getting closer to Jesus. Not for the Reaper crew.

I’m in the bed, dreaming of a hot night I once had in Salt Lake City, and in the dream ready to plant a big wet one on a gal I was seeing there, when Ricky calls. Something about the counter crew that wants to do their bar eating place out on Blue Lakes. Seems Ricky knows them close. Ricky says that those other people were pretty put out about another party stepping in and looking at it. Now the only people connecting these dots, was that little trouble maker Ashley, the Oriental guy that owns the place and me. Ricky is being squeezed, between loyalty to the club and me and the other friendship. Ricky doesn’t want to be part of the bar, at least till it opens. That said, why would the club want to get into that place on Blue Lakes, when for not much more we not only can lease our original site for the Reaper, but in a year or so own the entire property? But quite frankly with Ricky as temp local President of the Knytes, makes him very involved whether he wants to be or not. Thing is in his brain he really don’t give a rats butt, its that dang Ashley, whom Ricky and Kevin both say if anything is paid, it’ll be done mid month next month and only if its paid through the courts or a official person. That way there are witness’ of the payment being made outside of a receipt. That way this Ashley can’t come back later and say, you never paid me. There are many of those gals who are pissed, that neither myself or the Knytes and most importantly the Wolvez didn’t put our tails between our legs and run off. That in fact we’re going full steam ahead, and building this ultimate biker/aviator/gearheads bar & grill.

Watch and see if the same junk don’t happen with the radio station, and or the MC shop.

It’s just like the same noises we heard in both Elmore County when we were after something somebody else wanted, like wise in Mini Cassia, when a prospect was told that somebody over there would pay him $7,000.00 to leave Cassia County. Don’t matter where, somebody gives me $7,000.00 and I’ll be gone as fast as Wolf Pup, LiL Wolf and LexiBelle can move me. More over I’d recommend to club officers to sell the licenses to the radio signals we own, and use that money to build stations elsewhere in both Wyoming and Utah. I myself have no stakes, love nor loyalty to Tragic Valley Idaho. Mom and Dad are gone, the house is unrecoverable, the Hazzard part of the club is dim to say the least, even to the point of relocating that whole thing to eastern Utah over near Vernal, or Wyoming, the only part of Idaho that is of any value is that Mom and Dad are buried just outside of Grace Idaho> and I’m looking into having both graves exhumed and relocated to Utah, near Layton, where I spent the better years of growing up, so if someone is that put out about that Oasis bar on Blue Lakes, I say have at it. The knytes nor the Wolvez don’t want no part of it. But to bother someone on Sunday. Its like I have said, unless its for a toew call, don’t call me late at night, likewise bother me on Saturday and certainly Sunday.

Yep it’s Another Great Sunday, tell me what’s so great about it.
